Frank, I too have traveled, many times in BC, the Yukon and Alaska and did that on the Cassiar Hwy everytime. My question is, what kind of papers did you have to get to cross the border into Canada? BTW, if you ever travel back to Stewart/Hyder, try to get your driver to take you up the Salmon Glacier road to the end. There you'll find the remains of the gigantic Gran Duc Copper Mine.
